Provenance
These bears were the childhood toys of Brenda Mary Haynes who was born in December 1947, she spent her early childhood in Bognor Regis. When Brenda was 13 or 14 she worked at a Poodle Kennels. She use to look ater a poorly poodle called Leila at home, one day she came home from school and Leila had attacked Rupert resulting in a loss of much of his stuffing. Brenda repaired him secretly by stuffing him with newspaper, so her mother would not find out.
