A GERMAN CHASTITY BELT, IN 17TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
Formed of two thin iron plates joined by a hinge in the middle, the outer faces etched with panels of scrolling flowers involving figures dressed in the style of the third quarter of the 17th Century, also incorporating two German inscriptions, and the inner face with padded velvet lining (waistbelt missing).
