Further details
Born César Baldaccini, originally a sculptor César incorporated discarded industrial scrap metal into his works, condensing them into compact and colorful squares. By 1971, he created his Jewellery Compressions when an acquaintance brought in a box of jewelry and had him compress its entire contents into a pendant.
