A memorial portrait of Kuniyoshi, the text states that his given name was Igusa Magosaburo, his artist's name was Choro and his Buddhist name was Shinsuin Hosan Kokuho Shinshi, that he died on the fifth day of the third month of the Year of the Cock (1861) the first year of the Bunkyu period in his 65th year, and that he was buried in the Daisenji temple at Asakusa Hakkendera, signed Ikkeisai Yoshiiku kin [in appreciation], seal Keisai, aratame seal Cock 3 (1861), good impression, colours and generally good condition, laid down, some wear, and; a triptych, Isamashi Kuniyoshi kiri no tsuimoyo (Brave Kuniyoshi with his Paulownia Design), Kuniyoshi and his pupils are carrying fans with kirimon designs in procession at the Sanno festival, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi, kiri seal, censors's seals Hama and Kinugasa, good impression, some fading of colours, fair condition, some rubbing and soiling; and a memorial portrait of Kuniyoshi who is followed by his pupil Yoshifusa, the accompanying text for Kuniyoshi records "Died 3rd month, 4th day, year of the Cock (1861) Bunkyu 1, aged 65" and for Yoshifusa "Died, 6th month, 19th day, year of the Monkey (1860), Manen 1, aged 24" signed Ichigeisai Yoshitomi, 3rd month, year of the Cock (1861), kiri seal, published by Shinagawaya, good impression with subtle printing of paulownia emblems at the top edge, good colours, some foxing
