Each potted with a slender cylindrical body, well painted around the exterior in soft enamels to depict a continuous lakeside scene with figures, fishing boat, dotted thatched huts amongst verdant trees and vegetation, all between a band of tasselled ruyi pendants encircling the everted mouth rim, further decorated with key-fret design on the foot ring, the base with a four-character iron-red potter's sealmark, Yitao Zhi, 'Made by Yitao'

Lot Essay
The potter, Zhang Zhitang (1893-1971), studio name: Yitao Zhi, was a well-known porcelain painter in Jingdezhen in the 1930s and a contemporary of the 'Eight Friends of Zhushan'.
