COMPARATIVE LITERATURE:
George White, English Lantern Clocks, Woodbridge, 1989, pp.294-295.
Edward Blowers (1730-1812) succeeded his father, also Edward, circa 1762 and retired in 1787. White refers to these miniature timepieces as 'hybrid' lantern clocks. Diamond half hour markers appeared as early as 1720 but became more widely used in the provinces circa 1750 (White, p.314).
