Lot Essay

W.J and T. Hewetson are recorded trading at 185 Oxford Street and 204 Tottenham Court Road in 1855. The later partnership of Hewetson and Milner appear to have been responsible for executing certain designs attributed to Christopher Dresser, and ultimately became Hewetson, Milner & Thexton Ltd, House Furnishers.
