Cal. 1030 nickel-finished lever movement, 25 jewels, the black dial with luminescent dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminescent hands, circular water-resistant-type case with the revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, large screw-down crown and screw back, case, dial and movement signed, with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp

Lot Essay

The reference 6538, the successor of the first Submariner model ref. 6204, was launched in 1959 and stands as the first watch to be rated at 660 feet or 200 meters.
