Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1953 and its subsequent sale on August 13th of the same year.

The present watch is one of only 16 examples of the reference 2443 in yellow gold known to the market.

The reference 2443 was launched in 1948. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Huber & Banbery, Volume 2, Second Edition, p. 134, pl. 188.
