Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied steel markers in 1944 and its subsequent sale on 10 June 1944. It has never been offered in public before and is one of six examples of reference 1513 in stainless steel to appear at auction to date.

Manufacture of reference 1513 was launched in 1941 and was available in two versions, with subsidiary seconds, such as the present watch, and with sweep centre seconds.
