The front receptacle for snuff, the back receptacle to hold thirteen cigars, both chased with thistles and set with orange-foiled glass imitating citrine, gilt interiors, applied above the animal's nose with an escutcheon featuring Saint Andrew within a buckle and strap cartouche with Gaelic motto Clann na gaidheal a cualish cheile, coloured glass eyes, five implements pendent from chains comprising mounted rabbit's foot, snuff spoon, spike, rake and ivory gavel, the body raised on three castors
