A GERMAN SEVEN-FLANGED MACE
MID-16TH CENTURY
Constructed entirely of steel, the head formed of seven brazed flanges cut with stylised crockets top and bottom and drawn-out to horizontally reinforced points (one with minor impact damage), acorn finial, tubular haft, spirally fluted grip moulded at both ends, and domed pommel with ring finial for a thong.
