An exhibition standard waterline half model of the forward section of the S.S. Normandie
Egan Sajik, circa 1990
best described as a 1/2 x 1/4 model (beam x length), and built up in wood frame construction, with a red painted bottom, white waterline, black and white topsides, fitted with port holes, the whaleback painted grey and white, maple veneer decks with the deck planking drawn in, and detailed with hand railings, cargo boom, bridge and bridge wings, framed windows, forward mast with ladder, crows nest and standing rigging, the funnel painted in French Line (CGT) livery, four (4) boats rigged on davits, numerous figures on deck, and other details. Wired to light up (not checked) and fitted to hang on wall brackets.
