According to the vendor she met Bob Marley after a football match he had played in Battersea Park in July 1977. Marley had recently been diagnosed with the first signs of cancer. He signed the album sleeve twice after finding out the vendor's given name was Gyneth Nesta and not Marilyn as Marley's own middle name was Nesta; in fact, his Mother called him Nesta throughout his life.
Marley's second love was football Football is a whole skill to itself. A whole world. A whole universe to itself. Me love it because you have to be skilful to play it! Freedom! Football is freedom.
