This rare cinema poster is from the serial The Master Mystery starring Harry Houdini. The serial comprised 15 chapters, the beginning of each featuring one of Houdini's famous escapes. The poster features one of the earliest depictions of a robot (referred to in the film as 'The Automation') seen on a film poster. It even predates the most famous of all early cinematic robots, Maria, from Fritz Lang's Metropolis, by seven years.
