To the left St. Panteleimon, the healing saint, holding a medical instrument, to the right St. Boniface the Missionary bearing the martyr's cross, the Mandylion appearing above on the border, both saints dressed in ecclestical vestments decorated with gem-studded decorative bands, their gold haloes standing out against the saturated background
