Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1971 with yellow gold bracelet and its subsequent sale on 30 January 1974. Furthermore delivered with a copy of the Patek Philippe servicing invoice dated 14 January 2009, International Customer Service tag, original sales tag, fitted burgundy presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch has never been offered in public before and is believed to be the only example of a reference 3549/1 in yellow gold to appear at auction to date. It furthermore stands out by its excellent overall condition, still retaining the protective Patek Philippe Customer Service sticker to the case back.

Reference 3549 was in production from around 1968 until the mid 1970s.
