Harry Houdini
An archive consisting of 5 sets of iron cuffs and three keys, each a different style, from the original collection of the great magician, illusionist and master of escape, Harry Houdini.Encased in a shadow box style frame, the iron cuffs and keys surround a signed letter by Houdini's brother and fellow illusionist Hardeen describing the cuffs. Hardeen's letterhead pictures the pair and the letter announces Hardeen's performance of the "Houdini Show," stating that he "Possesses all of the Secrets willed him by his Brother..." and that, "Hardeen is the legalized successor to the Houdini Show." In this October 14, 1937 typed letter, Hardeen has testified to the origin of the cuffs and has signed it in black fountain pen. Framed, 26x28in.
