The reeded rectangular top with an inset writing surface above three frieze drawers, the central drawer fitted with a sliding ratcheted book rest and enclosing compartments, the reverse with two frieze drawers, one with a label 'S. & H. JEWELL, 131-2 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON WC1,' on outset spirally-turned legs with brass caps and castors, the metal work later
