Dennis Bergkamp (Dennis Nicolaas Maria Bergkamp, born 10 May 1969 in Amsterdam) is a retired professional Dutch football player. His career spanned 20 years playing at the international level for AFC Ajax Amsterdam (1986-1993), FC Internazionale Milano (1993-1995) and Arsenal (1995-2006). Bergkamp retired from competitive football in May 2006.
He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2007 and is on the list of the FIFA 100 greatest living footballers as nominated by Pel. He has finished at third place, twice for the FIFA Player of the Year in 1993 and 1997.
