FIRST EDITION OF THIS CELEBRATED COMPENDIUM OF THE FAMOUS SCHOOL'S INNOVATIONS TO DATE. Moholy-Nagy began running the photography course in 1923 and the Bauhaus quickly rose to the forefront of experimentation in European modernist photography. With lay-out by Lazlo Moholy-Nagy, cover design by Herbert Bayer and contributions by Moholy-Nagy, Walter Gropius, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Lyonel Feininger, Gertrud Grunow, Oskar Schlemmer, Johannes Itten, and others. The 300 copies in English and 300 copies in Russian announced in the colophon were never published.
