Christopher Pratt & Sons of Bradford offered a complete house-furnishing service. In their 1901 catalogue they acknowleged that 'modern furniture design consists very largely in the imitation of old styles'. (Jeremy Cooper, Victorian and Edwardian Furniture and Interiors, London, 1987.)
