LD F 2' on the tang, iron saddle-bar and ring, and associated iron ramrod, London proof marks, EIC inspection marks

Lot Essay

This is a rare example of the last type of flintlock carbine adopted by the East India Company. It is thought that fewer than 1,850 of this pattern of carbine were made.
