TEPE GIYAN, CIRCA 3RD MILLENNIUM B.C.
With two small lug handles below the rim, decorated in dark brown with a frieze of standing birds between geometric bands, frieze of stylized triangles and rosettes above, 4 in. (10 cm.) high; a Luristan bronze jar with ridged body and flaring rim, 9th-7th Century B.C., 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high; and a Near Eastern bronze phiale decorated with rows of shallow bosses, circa 6th Centruy B.C., 7½ in. (19 cm.) diam. (3)
