Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with enamel dial and Breguet numerals in 1928 and its subsequent sale on 28 August 1928.

Consigned by a descendant of the original owner, this watch has never been offered before and is preserved in generally very good overall condition.

The timeless design of the 1920s "Officier" model served as inspiration for the limited edition of "Officier" watches launched in 1989 to celebrate Patek Philippe's 150th anniversary (see lot 203 in this auction).

The master watchmaker and retailer José Anfruns located in Barcelona was one of Patek Philippe's distinguished retailers in the second half of the 19th century.
