Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Girard-Perregaux, the manufacture of the present hunter case watch can be dated to a period between 1908 and 1911.

The present pendant watch is a typical and highly attractive example for the Art Nouveau style, characterized by the curvilinear depiction of leaves and flowers, foliate forms and sinuous lines.
