Of panelled construction, the upper panels with pierced oval fretwork and carved gilt panels below depicting a variety of figures within landscape settings on square section supports

Acquired by the present owner's mother, the Lady Janet Donald, the wife of the former British Ambassador, Sir Alan Donald, who served in Beijing between 1988 - 1991.
