The dog depicted carrying a snipe in its mouth, the separately cast naturalistic base signed LIEBERICH. and with foundry inscription FABR. C.F. WOERFFEL ST. PETERSBOURG.

Lot Essay

It is very difficult to identify the dog breed of the present model, a possibility is the Hungarian Viszla. The Viszla is a fine all-round pointer-retriever breed.
