AN ART NOUVEAU CARVED WALNUT SCULPTURAL SEVEN-PIECE SALON SUITE
PROBABLY ITALIAN, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Comprising a canapé, two armchairs and four side-chairs; the canapé and armchairs en suite with pierced fan backs carved with a standing partially robed nymph and leaves, above conforming arms and swept legs, upholstered in striped pink and cream floral silk, the sides chairs with lily-pad and naturalistic strapwork carved backs, on flared channelled legs, upholstered in mauve and cream silk
The canapé: 26 in. (117 cm.) high; 68 in. (173 cm.) wide; 20 in. (51 cm.) deep
The fauteuils: 45¾ in. (116 cm.) high; 27 in. (68.5 cm.) wide; 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) deep
The side-chairs: 40 in. (101.5 cm.) high; 16½ in. (42 cm.) wide; 15 in. (38 in.) deep (7)
