The serpentine baize-lined fold-over top over a plain frieze on foliate and cartouche-carved cabriole legs and scroll feet, hinges stamped 'H. TIBATS'

Possibly acquired by James Montgomery (1720-1803), later 1st Bt. of Stanhope, and by descent at Stobo and Kinross.
