A portrait of the courtesan Hanaogi of the Ogiya preparing to decorate a fan, seated before a table holding brushes, inkstone and rolled paper, from the series Seiro bijin rokkasen [Beauties of the Yoshiwara compared to six flowers], yellow ground, signed Eishi zu, published by Nishimuraya Yohachi [Eijudo], very good impression and colour, mica on her kimono, slight soiling and creasing, trimmed Oban tate-e (34.2 x 24.1cm.)
