A PAIR OF WILLIAM IV SILVER-GILT AND IVORY CASKETS
MARK OF EDWARD FARRELL, LONDON, 1836, BRITANNIA STANDARD
Each tapering oblong on four carved ivory bun feet, the hinged covers set with ivory panels, painted on one with a scene of St. Pauls Cathedral and on the other with a view of ships on the Thames with the Royal Hospital Greenwich in the background, the sides applied with silver-gilt panels over the ivory core, engraved with alternating panels of scrolls and latticework, each marked on front and cover
