QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The pear shaped body of rectangular section moulded to the front and back with a slightly raised peach-shape panel, the rounded corners rising from a short straight foot, the neck flanked with two tubular handles, applied overall in a rich teadust-green glaze of characteristic lightly mottled tone

Lot Essay

During the Qianlong period, a number of vases of the same shape were made with different coloured glazes. A similar Qianlong-marked vase of Ru-type glaze is offered in the present sale, lot 3704 (see footnote).
