A LARGE JADEITE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
LATE QING DYNASTY
The deity shown standing with her head turned slightly to her right holding a scroll before her in her right hand and a willow branch in her raised left hand, flanked by two acolytes, the female standing on wispy clouds to the Goddess' left holding a vase of flowers, the boy to her right standing on one leg enveloped by a celestial scarf with hands clasped before him, the reverse with a large phoenix perched on rockwork between plantain and peony branches, the stone varying from and exceptionally translucent intense apple green to a mottled pale green tone with darker inclusions at the base
