The rectangular case with quiver mounts to the front angles and flanked by two amorini, inscribed below 'DE L'HEURE EN NOS PLAISIRS CETTE BULLE EST L'IMAGE', the marble plinth with seated putto and foliate garland mount to the front and serpents emblematic of eternity to the sides, on acorn feet; DIAL: floral ormolu chapter ring with individual enamel chapters set within flower heads, blued steel Breguet hands MOVEMENT: with twin barrels, anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell; pendulum
