A bronze figure of Vaishravana
Tibet, 16th Century
Seated in lalitasana on a lion's back over a lotus base with beaded rims, the hands in vitarkamudra, clad in an ankle-length dhoti with beaded hems, the face with bow-shaped lips and almond-shaped eyes flanked by large pendant earrings and surmounted by a tiara, the base sealed with a double-vajra
5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) high
