A bronze figure of Padmapani
Kashmir or Western Tibet, 11th/12th Century
Standing on a lotus blossom over a stepped pedestal, his right hand in abhayamudra and his left clutching a lotus stem blossoming at his shoulder, dressed in a short dhoti incised with a stippling pattern and adorned with various necklaces and sashes, the face with elongated eyes, the hair in a topknot and secured with a knop, all backed by a flaming nimbus and aureole
