Lot Essay

Antoine Saint Martin, recorded rue des Fossés St-Germain 1715 and Place Dauphine 1741-1746. In 1734 he was Juré and in 1739 Garde (the Parisian clockmakers' guild was governed by the Jurande, comprising four members known as Jurés or garde-visiteurs, elected for two years at a time).
