Lot Essay

The work, in itself, has references to those innumerable classic busts on column stands that are found in almost every museum. They belong to a past that no longer exists and can only be reviewed in museums and places alike. We don't need a hero states Barbara Kruger righteously as one of her most read slogans. This phrase gains a more specific meaning within a contemporary Iranian context. It refers to a distorted and irrelevant reading of the prototype hero with an absent reference. It is simply nonsense
