The moulded cornice above three short and four graduated long featherbanded drawers, the stand with a shaped apron and square cabriole legs, one drawer with the trade sheet of 'JOAKIM FALCK...', the legs replaced, the centre section of apron rebuilt

Lot Essay

Joakim Falck was recorded at 'The Four Coffins', St. Saviour's Dock Head, Southwark, in 1727. The only work previously recorded is a walnut tallboy sold Christie's, New York, 28 March 1981, lot 159, and illustrated in C. Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, Leeds, 1996, p. 196, pl. 328.
