Lot Essay

Joakim Falck was recorded at 'The Four Coffins', St. Saviour's Dock Head, Southwark, in 1727. The only work previously recorded is a walnut tallboy sold Christie's, New York, 28 March 1981, lot 159, and illustrated in C. Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, Leeds, 1996, p. 196, pl. 328.
