Lot Essay

Robert Henderson is recorded at St Martin's Court, London (1772) and 18 Bridgewater Square (1800-1805). A.W.J.H Ord-Hume (The Musical Clock, Mayfield, 1995, p. 298) mentions a 'musical chimney bracket clock' which plays three of the tunes listed above - possibly this clock.
