A PAIR OF GREEK BRONZE HANDLES
ARCHAIC PERIOD, CIRCA MID TO LATE 6TH CENTURY
Each formed from a pair of back-to-back recumbent lions, with elaborate incised detailing on their backs and manes, their faces with large noses, furrowed brows and deeply-set eyes, a raised knob in between topped with a rosette, the handles terminating in two snakes with flat heads and incised scales
