A CAMPANIAN RED-FIGURED HYDRIA
ATTRIBUTED TO THE CA PAINTER, CIRCA 350-330 B.C.
With two warriors flanking a stele, each armed in a crested helmet, a corslet, greaves, spears and shield, an offering of fruit atop the stele, zigzag along the shaft, partially-draped winged Nike above to the left, a wreath and a patera held forth in her left hand, a draped female before her with a mirror in her right hand, a standing draped youth below the right handle, a draped female seated on a klismos with a patera and an alabastron below the left handle; a band of wave encircling below, vertical lines on the neck, a large palmette below the vertical handle, a rosette on either side of the handle; details in added white and yellow
