A Pair of Painted-Wood Wedding Ducks (Kirogi)
Joseon dynasty (circa 1900)
Each of rough-hewn wood with lozenge-form body and triangular cutaways at the back to indicate the wings, two small triangular cuts indicate the eyes and the top beak is pierced with two holes holding a colored silk tassel; the surface applied with black pigment and the base cut with a deep rectangular recess painted in black pigment with Chinese characters, now illegible
