A mottled red sandstone relief
India, Mathura, Kushan period, 2nd century
Very finely carved with a male and female in struggle at center, he dressed in a dhoti secured with a sash and adorned with foliate earrings, grabbing the arms of the central female who wears a link belt and pendant sash, flanked by two female attendants, including one at right with her hand raised to her mouth and holding a palm leaf
