A buff sandstone figure of Chamunda

The emaciated goddess of destruction finely carved dancing over a reclining figure, clad in a closely fitting dhoti, bone ornaments and garland of skulls, with pronounced ribs and sternum, a scorpion climbing her hollow abdomen and a coiled snake encircling her neck, the tendons and collar bones exposed, the fierce face with wide eyes, bared teeth and hollow cheeks flanked by pendent lobes, the hair in tight plaits drawn back, the surface smoothly polished
