A bronze figure of Balakrishna
South India, 15th century
Standing on a lotus blossom with his right leg raised, over a waisted plinth incised with a lattice pattern, his left hand stretched out to his side and his right holding a butterball, adorned with a beaded belt and necklace, the face with long nose and elongated eyes, the hair pulled up into a flat bun and backed by a diminutive shiraschakra
