A RARE BRONZE SECTION OF A RITUAL LADLE
EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (770-256 BC)
Comprising the lower portion of a ladle shaped as a wolf's head decorated with scrolls and a scale-like pattern of shallow cells for inlay issuing from a trapezoidal socket and holding a bamboo-shaped stem in its jaws that continues down to the side of the peach-shaped bowl, with dark grey patina and some milky green encrustation
