Lot Essay

The seal jixiang was commonly used by Li Junting on his wares when he was not signing with one of his several assumed names. It is among his better-known seals, appearing on many examples.

Compare the very simliar bottle from the Kardos Collection, and formerly in the collection of Albert Pyke, sold at Sotheby's, New York, 1 July 1985, lot 64.
