A dramatic depiction of the predatory behavior of the Tawny Weasel, "drawn from nature by J. W. Audubon" (imprint); a complex depiction incorporating a fence, a small copse of trees and a two-story barn in the left-hand background. "Although John Woodhouse Audubon's artistic career has been overshadowed by his father's success, his contribution to early wildlife documentation is significant" (National Museum of Wildlife Art).
